Fellowship in the abbey

The next day John stood there again, now with two of his disciples. He turned his eye to Jesus passing by and spoke, “Behold, the Lamb of God. The two disciples heard him say this and went after Jesus. Jesus turned around and when He saw that they were following Him, He asked them, “What do you desire? They said to Him, ‘Rabbi’ – translated this means, ‘Master – where are you staying?’ He said to them, ‘Go along to see.’ ‘ So they went along and saw where He was staying. That day they stayed with Him. (John 1:35-39)

If you think that Jesus Christ is calling you to follow Him – as a contemplative sister – very closely, to give your life to Him and His Church in seclusion – for which He gave His life on the Cross – in the Order of the Most Holy Blessed as Birgittines, you may – after contacting us and after first visiting us a few times – then spend a few days with us. You may then get a little taste of what it is like to live in a monastery entirely devoted to the pure contemplative and contemplative life and thus discover whether this is really the way the Lord asks of you. It will make it easier for you to make your final choice to respond to the Lord’s call – which you experience in your heart. Come and see!
